As a proud member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), Matt’s passion for golf course management and maintenance is unparalleled. His extensive experience and dedication have played a pivotal role in shaping the impeccable standards that define Carey Park Golf Course.

Colton Berk has made a significant impact since joining the Carey Park Golf Course team as our Assistant Professional in 2020. In the Fall of 2023 Colton took over the duties as Interim Clubhouse Manager and in February of 2024 accepted the permanent position. With a decade of experience in the golf industry, including his role as a TaylorMade Fitting Representative, Colton’s knowledge and expertise are undeniable. Notably, he earned recognition as a Golf Digest and Mizuno Top 100 fitter in Wichita during 2017-18.
Colton’s journey led him through Wichita State University, where he majored in Marketing and Communications. Currently, he’s on a path through the PGA program to fulfill his aspirations of being elected to full PGA Membership. Colton’s passion for inspiring young golfers and growing the game shines through in his leadership of the course’s PGA Jr. League team. His enthusiasm for working with kids is evident and contagious, making him a valuable asset to our golfing community.
Jake Winchester

Jake Winchester has been a cornerstone of our staff for over six years, with his family having deep roots into the Hutchinson golf community. With accolades such as for the Hutchinson City Junior Championship in 2019, he was able to earn a scholarship after graduating from Hutchinson High School, to Coffeyville Community College, concluding his collegiate career at Hutchinson Community College as a Blue Dragon.
In April 2024, Jake assumed the Assistant Professional position. Over the past 5 years, he has dedicated himself to our junior program, showcasing his skills as a committed junior instructor. Additionally, he serves as the Assistant Coach for our PGA Jr League program. We eagerly anticipate his growth in this new role!
